Asbestos Assessor / HAZMAT Consultant – Full Time

THE ROLE

Looking for a change, to get off the tools or further your experience as a consultant? ENVSS are looking for a suitable team-orientated candidate to fill the position of Asbestos Assessor / HAZMAT Consultant. The role primarily involves the following:

  • Conducting Asbestos and Hazardous Materials Audits;
  • Conduct airborne fibre monitoring;
  • Management of asbestos removal works;
  • Provide advice to clients on safe handling, removal and remediation methods for hazardous building materials;

THE CANDIDATE

Ideally we are looking for a candidate that can offer the following qualifications and skills:

  • Science degree or trade qualified (Carpenter, Builder, Demolition etc);
  • Understanding of the built environment, particularly pre-1990’s buildings, heritage buildings and industrial sites;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with multiple trades simultaneously on work sites;
  • A solid commitment to all aspects of safety;
  • Ability to work in varied age and ethnically diverse team;
  • Project management skills;
  • Able to obtain Police and Working With Children clearance;
  • Drivers License (Truck license highly regarded).

Additional experience with any of the following will be highly regarded:

  • Electronics;
  • Remote Environmental Monitoring;
  • Contaminated Land Remediation;
  • Construction/Demolition;
  • Occupational Hygiene

Environmental Monitoring Specialist – Full Time

The Role

This role requires an experienced Environmental Monitoring Specialist who is looking to lead a growing team, you will be required to:

  • Design, build and deploy Air/Noise/Vibration/Water and Met Stations across Australia
  • Monitor a network of Air/Noise/Dust/Vibration/ and Met Stations across Australia
  • Develop monitoring capabilities
  • Business development into new sectors
  • Lead a team of Technicians to maintain equipment in the field and within the rental fleet

The Successful Candidate will have

  • System design experience
  • Sales experience
  • Experience in similar role with the following equipment
    • Beta attenuation monitoring (BAM)
    • Tapered element oscillating microbalance (TEOM)
    • High Volume Sampling
    • Low Volume Sampling
    • Gas Analysers
  • An understanding of basic electronics and solar systems
  • Drivers license

This role requires a versatile person who is willing to assist in all areas of the business, you will be required to:

  • Conduct On-Site Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • Maintain supply levels
  • Maintain equipment
  • Produce high quality reports
  • Manage your own projects and liaise with clients

The Successful Candidate will have

  • Current qualification in Drug and Alcohol Testing
  • Experience in similar role

In addition shortlist candidates will also have

  • A great attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to self manage
  • Approved Audiometric Officer (AAO) with WorkCover WA
  • Must be computer literate, MAC experience an advantage
  • A high level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Time management skills
